Specialist Julija Malašauskienė

I was born into a family of medical professionals, so various medical topics, discussions, and issues have accompanied me since childhood. I was particularly intrigued by medicine when biology classes began in school, especially the part about human anatomy. With each passing day, I wanted to learn more about the structure of the human body, its physiology, capabilities, and its relationship with nature and other organisms.

After completing medical studies and continuing into residency, I eagerly anticipated the start of clinical practice, where I could apply the knowledge I had gained, assist patients with their ailments, and educate them about healthy living and disease prevention.

However, working in a clinic was not as I had imagined: there was a heavy workload, short consultation times, insufficient opportunities to delve into a patient’s problem or truly listen to them, excessive administrative tasks, more questions than answers, repetitive situations, and returning patients with exacerbations of their conditions, as well as a lack of patient motivation and willingness to participate in the treatment process. Treatment was often based on predetermined protocols, without considering the individuality and uniqueness of each person.

All of this prompted me to seek alternatives, and it was at that time that I came across the book “Endobiogeny: Individualized Medicine” by Dr. Jean-Claude Lapraz and Marie-Laure de Clermont, where I found many important answers and various ways to solve different situations. I was fascinated by the authors’ approach to viewing humans as an indivisible whole. Problems and diseases are not separated from the person; instead, connections are sought between the body’s systems, and a health plan is tailored individually, using plants that act gently and uniquely on each organism.

Endobiogeny is very close to my understanding, perception, and view of humans, diseases, their causes, and methods of restoring health.
