Specialist Giedrė Juškenienė

I was born and raised in a non-medical family, and I never even dreamed of becoming a doctor. This profession always seemed special to me, worthy of great respect and unattainable… From a very young age, I was very sensitive; I was afraid of needles, white coats, blood, and wounds, and visiting medical facilities caused me great fear and stress. At the same time, I always longed to help anyone weaker, smaller, or oppressed.

Choosing the medical profession was a real challenge for me! When the time came to choose a specialty, rehabilitation seemed the most attractive to me out of all, as it seemed to dot the i’s and accompany a person carefully into a full life after a serious injury or illness throughout the entire treatment process.

For many years of working both in hospitals and clinics, I was often haunted by a strange feeling because I saw one or another clinical situation differently than my colleagues. Intuitively, I felt that successful human healing is not just about complex surgeries or the latest medications, that it’s not enough to focus on the symptom and its elimination, that there is something else that is completely simple and elementary. Something that modern medicine, pharmaceuticals, and advanced technologies have left “off the table.”

Discovering endobiogenics completely unexpectedly, I realized that this is exactly what I had been missing in medicine all along. Endobiogenics gave completeness to my professional activity and a true pleasure in helping people.
